Talk Board

Privacy Policy

Last updated 19 June 2026

The short version. Talk Board does not collect your personal data. The board you build, the photos you add, and your settings stay on your device and are never uploaded. There are no accounts, no advertising, and no tracking. The only information that ever leaves your device is a feedback message, and only if you choose to send one.

Who is responsible

Talk Board is made and operated by Amine Amrani. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact a@amrani.uk.

What stays on your device

Everything you create in the app is stored locally on your device only:

We cannot see any of this. It is not sent to us or to anyone else. Removing the app, or using "Reset board", clears this data. You can also export a backup file yourself and store it wherever you choose.

Feedback you choose to send

If you use the "Send feedback" feature, the message you write is sent to a server we operate (hosted by Cloudflare) so we can read it and improve the app. Along with your message we receive only: the message text, whether the board is set up for a child or an adult, the app name, your browser/device user-agent string, and a country code derived from your connection. We do not ask for, and you should not include, your name, email or any details about a specific person unless you want to. We use this solely to understand and fix problems and to decide what to build next.

What we do not do

Voices

Speech is produced by your device's built-in text-to-speech. If a higher-quality online voice is enabled in a particular build, the words on a button are sent to a speech service only to generate the audio, which is then cached on your device. No board content, photos or personal details are sent for this purpose beyond the short words you have chosen for your buttons.

Children's privacy

Talk Board is designed to support communication, including for children, and is built to collect no personal data. Because the app does not gather information about the user, it does not knowingly collect personal data from children. Parents and carers stay in control of the content on the device.

Third parties

We use Cloudflare to host the app, the website and the feedback endpoint. Cloudflare processes requests on our behalf as our infrastructure provider. We do not use any advertising or analytics third parties.

Your rights

Since the app holds your data only on your device, you are in direct control of it: edit it, export it, or delete it at any time. For any feedback message you have sent us, you can ask us to delete it by emailing a@amrani.uk.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
